Beylikdüzü is one of the important districts of Istanbul, where regular and planned construction takes place. According to a survey conducted by the municipality, 40% of the residents have graduated from college. Beylikdüzü, which was once a village with an active agricultural sector, was the seat of an army during the Byzantine and Ottoman periods and was therefore not densely populated.

During the pre-republic period, this region was called "Bahçe" which means garden. Since there were many poplars growing in this area, suitable for the climate, during the time of the Republic this place was called "Kavaklı" (Poplar). This name was used until January 2003. After that, the area became known as Beylikduzu.

In recent years, with the education in residential areas, a large number of Istanbul residents have arrived in Beylikdüzu, making this region one of the largest.Thanks to the construction of a metrobus line, which provides easy and quick access from the city center to Beylikdüzü, the number of inhabitants of this place is growing every day. As this part of the city was recently created by human settlement, it has the characteristics of a dynamic neighborhood where everyone is welcome and there is no class division. In recent years, this part of the city has grown in popularity and has become a center of attraction for residential investment. This area has become the most profitable place for investors, offering the most profitable opportunities and high investment rewards in Istanbul.The extension of the metrobus line to Beylikduzu facilitated and accelerated the movement of transport. Metrobuses operate around the clock. In addition, express buses travel from Taksim to Beylikduzu.

The construction of the Beylikduzu - Bakirkoy metro line is expected to begin in the near future. Industry and trade form the basis of Beylikdüzü's economy. Beylikdüzü is home to Ambarlı Limanı, the largest container port in Turkey. Ambarlı Port is one of the 50 largest container ports in the world. Ambarlı Port has a capacity of 600 boats and the private marina West Istanbul Marina has been built on an area of 155,000 m2.The fact that metrobuses operate here around the clock has made Beylikdüzü popular among everyone who wants to have their own home in Istanbul.
